Kindle Electronic Book Reader For E-Learning

The largest online bookstore spearheading the resurgence of ebooks with its own kingpin ebook reader, isn’t that the perfect union? That was the original Kindle which took the world of reading by storm and we generally agreed that that was the peak of perfection. But no, not quite, we now have the Kindle plus-plus. Yes, the Amazon Kindle 2 has arrived, looking better and bringing more. As with most things modern, reading is inevitably trending towards being e-based. It starts with the shopping, ordering and then receiving (downloading) of the books. All this is accomplished in one go online in a matter of minutes. Even the reading proper is hi-tech. It is reading made easy by technology and if it could ‘change Oprah’s life’, it will change yours too. There are several brands of electronic book readers to choose from in the market. Having that said, don’t bother to look beyond the top of the pack as many of the rest are still in beta. By far the two most proven brands are the Amazon Kindle and Sony PRS. Both have generated running series and are already into their latter models. The consensus though, is Amazon with its Kindle 2 is fast drawing away from competition with Sony’s flagship PRS – 700 a distant second. To get hold of the Amazon eBook Reader, you have to act fast. Stock-outs especially during peak seasons are nothing new with the Amazon Kindle. For back-to-back Christmases, they sold out long before the holiday proper. Quoted delivery lead time continues to be volatile due to all the rage that it is now. EBay may be an alternative marketplace for the red hot e reader but price premium may be needed to circumvent the crunch. Analysts estimate that the original Kindle sold in excess of half a million units. Going by the current rate, the Kindle 2 is poised to sell lots more. That means it’s not only good for readers, it’s great for the environment. Kindle Electronic Book Reader can substitute the need for books so the Kindle 2 can save quite a few trees from being turned into paper for them. Yes, the Kindle 2 is green. Kindle ebooks save money too. Savvy readers would realize that Amazon subsidizes its Kindle book sales and provides free sampling of e-books so you are never mistaken about buying a book. That may be string attached to sell its electronic book reader but the bottom line makes sense at the end of the day. Even for occasional readers, this should be a no-brainer. That’s on top of all the other good stuff it brings.

Have You Thought About Publishing A Book For The Amazon Kindle?

Have you ever thought about publishing your own book? Do you have a great novel tucked away in your desk? Or maybe you have a collection of short stories that you just haven’t got around to publishing? Maybe you would like to publish the biography of one of your relatives. If any of the above apply to you then you may be interested to know that, not only there plenty of other people who share your ambition, but that the available publishing options are increasing daily. It has never been easier to get your book published. It’s not only easier – it is very much cheaper – and there are now options available which are one hundred percent free. As a matter of fact, if your book sells, you might even make some money. For example, Amazon are a company who apart from being very successful, have a strong Association with books and reading. When they launched the original Amazon website in 1995, the way that many people bought books changed dramatically. Later, in 2007, when Amazon launched the original Kindle e-book reader, the way that people read books also began to change. The subsequent release of the enhanced Kindle 2, quickly followed by the large display Kindle DX in 2009, ensured that e-book readers became accepted by the public and, although still fairly new, the market for both e-book readers and e-books began to grow exponentially. One of the most important factors in the Kindle’s success – apart from the fact that it was an extremely well designed piece of hardware – was the large amount of Kindle books which were available for the Kindle users to choose from. Currently there are more than 400,000 Kindle books available on the Amazon website – and this number is growing at an average rate of 500 everyday. In addition to changing the manner in which books are bought, delivered and read, the Kindle reader gives would-be authors the opportunity to have their work published and showcased by the world’s largest book seller. Having your book published in Kindle format is simple, fast and free. What’s more – so long as you fix the price of your book at the value between $1 and $9. 99, Amazon will take no more than 30% of the sales price leaving 70% for you (minus a very small the lovely free – typically just a few cents – based upon how many kB of memory your book uses. Before you can publish your book, you will require your own Amazon account. This is free – in fact, if you’ve ever bought anything from Amazon’s website then you already have your own free account and login. With your account in place, all you have to do is to format your book and upload it to Amazon’s website. One very easy way to achieve this is to format your book using Microsoft Word and then to save it in HTML format. This option can be found by selecting “save as” from the file menu. There are plenty of other methods available – but using Microsoft Word is one of the easiest and most accessible. Choosing a suitably attractive illustration for the cover of your book is also a good idea. This wil help to make your book more attractive to prospective buyers. This is also very simple to do, just upload your chosen image to Amazon’s website and you’re done. After that, all you need to do is fill in a few field, give your book a good, snappy title, fix your selling price – and you will be a published author!
